KAK YOU CHERN

Hi, I'm

I'm a Network and Security student at University Technology Malaysia (UTM) who loves getting my hands dirty with technology.
Whether it's assembling a PC from scratch or figuring out how to keep a network secure,
I enjoy the challenge of building things that work and solving the puzzles behind them.

PC Assembly Lab

PC Assembly & Hardware Lab

Successfully completed a full-scale PC assembly project, documenting the entire process from component selection to system troubleshooting. The technical documentation is available on my GitHub repository.

Johor Port Visit

Industry Visit: Johor Port

Gained first-hand exposure to large-scale industrial network infrastructure and logistics security protocols. Observed the integration of real-time monitoring systems and the critical importance of cybersecurity in maintaining port operations and data integrity.

Design Thinking

UTM Study Planner (Design Thinking)

Collaborated in a team to design a productivity solution for university students. Focused on user experience research and time management frameworks using Design Thinking methodologies.

Personal Reflection

Throughout my academic journey at UTM, I have realized that the field of Network and Security is not just about technology, but also about responsibility and continuous learning.

My participation in hands-on projects like the PC Assembly Lab and the Industry Visit to Johor Port has bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications. These experiences taught me that attention to detail is crucial—whether it is connecting hardware components or securing a network protocol.

Moreover, my involvement in Design Thinking projects has enhanced my soft skills, specifically in problem-solving and effective communication. Looking forward, I am committed to deep-diving into cybersecurity frameworks and contribute to building a safer digital environment.
